Predator vs. Prey Summer Camp: Box Turtle
On day 2, the theme is "Herbivores". Campers learned about box turtles and the relationship box turtles have with their "prey" which is often fruit, vegetables, crickets and worms.
In their own words, campers describe their favorite predator-prey interaction:

Scales and Tails

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher continues “Saving Frogs – Spring Forward” initiatives with a two-day celebration of our amphibian and reptile friends. Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 from 9 am - 5 pm, visitors will have an opportunity to see, touch and learn about our cold-blooded neighbors. Aquarium staff and invited experts will introduce the public to dozens of live amphibians and reptiles, including alligators, snakes, iguanas, lizards, turtles, albino animals and MORE! This event is free with aquarium admission.;

AquaCamp - Register Now!

Need something to do with the kids on the MLK holiday? Give them an up close look at reptiles and animals including, turtles, salamanders, and alligators at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Campers will learn about the similarities and differences between these two types of animals. Live animal presentations and more are all part of this exciting program. Come and join the fun!
