It's Just "Plain Fun"!

Week Four, Day One

Jenna: I liked going to the salt marsh because I got to use a lot of different nets to catch crabs, fish, snails, and other animals. I wish I could do it again!

Hannah: My favorite part of today at camp is going to the salt marsh. Also I liked Wilson, the wood duck. I liked the salt marsh because we got to catch things. I like Wilson because he’s cute. It was wonderful.

Lexi: My favorite part of the day was going to the salt marsh because I got to catch crabs…but I didn’t. I loved it when Wilson the duck came to visit us. I learned that pin fish have sharp fins.

Yasmine: I liked going to the salt marsh and catching crabs (even though I never caught any). We used different nets to catch fish and a wood block with a fish attached to a string. I was soaking wet at the end.

Hudson: When you go to the salt marsh, you will learn to go crabbing and learn to use fishing equipment.

Mary Margaret: My favorite part of the day was when we went crabbing at the salt marsh. The reason I liked the salt marsh was because Jenna and I caught two fishies! But I also liked it when Wilson the wood duck came to our classroom.

Alana: My favorite thing was the salt marsh because I learned how to use a net.

Leah: My favorite thing of the day was when I went to the salt marsh. Even though I fell in the salt marsh, it turned out fun. I would agree to come next year. I had fun with Wilson the duck too. That is why I like that.

Jacob: Today we went to a salt marsh. We went crabbing for blue crabs and caught lots of cool fish. We used pole nets to catch the fish. I caught a pinfish and shrimp. That was my favorite thing we did today.

Maddie: Today we met Wilson the wood duck. He was so cool. He was very scared though, and shy. He was the best part of today because I have never been that close to a duck before.

Erin: My favorite part of the day was…Wilson. Wilson was my favorite because he was funny and he is a very playful duck.

Cammie: My favorite part of the day was the salt marsh because I got to play with the fishies. And I learned that the salt marsh was a nursery.

Tommy: My favorite part of the day was the salt marsh because we were in the water and it was plain fun.

Walt: Today at camp, we went to the salt marsh. I had fun at the salt marsh because I got to use a cast net.

Ben: I liked to go to the salt marsh. Because I almost caught a crab.

Alex: I enjoyed the salt marsh because I saw a school of fish. I also saw 2 shark teeth. 3 crab claws also.
